Re: Admin user interface

Hi Nick,

this is fantastic news , my clients will be over the moon at this addition when it arrives, and will definately lead to my purchase of more ccp6 licences knowing the admin will be end user friendly,  the other items in the planned update are just a bonus.

in anticipation

Re: Admin user interface

Now we are getting there
a admin skin for the normal everyday functions i.e. paid orders print  and modifi invoices, have awaiting to be sent, ready to be sent check stock inventry -not out of stock, update prices, add new products, remove product, stasitics, all in a seperate admin, away from the raw data bits. in other words the normal daily running functions in one and the programers delight in the other admin.

Re: Admin user interface

Nick, while you are doing this, is there any way that you can group some of the scattered functions together.  An example of this is skin functions.  You go to one menu item to upload and manage a skin, but have to go to a total different area to set the skin to be the default skin.  Little things like this makes it difficult for a store owner to find their way around and accomplish tasks.  It is one thing if you are doing these things every day and remember where to find the settings.  Those that are just casual techies don't do this often enough to remember where to find them.

I totally agree.

I had to switch between different menus. Sometimes i just went back and checked if i had made the change at the other place.

It really gets frustrating.

Can you do something about this issue please.

Re: Admin user interface

I agree with what you are saying TerryA but would rather see the user / pprogrammer / designer admin sorted first and released as soon as possible , with any mods to designer / programmer admin done later, i think there would be more happy people if that was to happen.

Re: Admin user interface

how about just simply allow us to define an access levels - take it to a customization screen that allows us to check box each option we want to offer at that level, regardless of what the task/function is.  i.e basic admin - I only want them to be able to add/change/remove products from the database - nothing else no news no reference to Kryptronic Hybrid X core nothig but "click here to add/remove/change a product.

Also make the product entry screen customizable the same way, Allow us to set default entries in the product screen. Id the defaualt is selected then the field does not even show up on the screen.
Most of my customers are very low level computer folks and the less they have to do to get what they want the more will want what we have to offer.

Re: Admin user interface

A quick search box in the admin to filter products would be a useful quick addition and for it to go back to the search results after continuing from entering a product
