UPS Online Tools Problem

Has anyone else had a problem with UPS Online Tools getting an error only for certain international customers. For instance, when a customer from France, UK, or Germany enters their shipping information the website calculates the UPS Express rates correctly. However, when a customer from a country say: Turkey, or Ukraine enters their shipping information, they recieve the error message and the default international shipping rate.

Any help, any advice?

By the way,

In my CCP Administration UPS Online tools shows us as: UPS OnLineĆ Tools Connection
instead of: UPS OnLineŽ Tools Connection

What could be causing this?

Re: UPS Online Tools Problem

The later problem looks to be a page encoding issue.  If it looks right on the front end (customer side), I wouldn't worry about that one.

The other problem could have several causes... UPS might not serve that country, the customer might have entered their postal code incorrectly, etc.  Do you have any details on any of those cases?  Were you able to get a quote from the UPS website in those cases?

Re: UPS Online Tools Problem

Rachael,
I was hoping you were online. This problem occurs with countries that UPS does service and with repeat customers that have never had any problems. In addition, I have tried to take their information and enter it on UPS.com and their site quotes prices and ETA. I have tried to enter their information myself into the website and still no go.

I emailed UPS Online Tools support earlier today, but probably wont hear back till tomorrow afternoon.

Re: UPS Online Tools Problem

If the customers have ordered before and didn't have problems with the shipping stage of the checkout, that would seem to indicate some intermittent problem.  Maybe UPS was updating their servers as part of the 07 price changes?  I know I've had a host of problems with FedEx since the new year... could just be something transient.  I can't think of anything CCP related right off, so it will be interesting to hear what UPS says.

Re: UPS Online Tools Problem

This was the response from UPS:

Thank you for your inquiry. I apologize that you are experiencing difficulty obtaining rates for international destinations. To research this issue further, I will need your UPS Account number.

In addition, I will need you to provide your XML Requests and Responses placed in a Zip file and attached to this e-mail so that I can determine your issue, and escalate your issue to the next level of support, if need be. Be sure to place both of these in a Zip file before sending them to us, because just copying the coding into an e-mail tends to make it unreadable and unusable due to missing formatting.

Please reply to this e-mail with your UPS Account Number and your coding placed within a Zip file and attached to the e-mail.

Does anyone know how to get the XML Requests and Responses?

Thanks
