Hi... i have a customer that manually runs the credit cards his customers use on the website. He now wants to use paypal.
Problem is he wants an instant download feature, and wants the user to be forced to use paypal ONLY, since theoretically, if they used a bad/stolen credit card, they'd be able to download the goods without actually paying for it, before he'd be able to catch it.
Basically:
Normal Sale -> call over phone, credit card, paypal
Instant Download -> PayPal ONLY
Thanks for any help!!!

This bring up an interesting topic, I have felt for a while that it would be nice if you culd designate whic payment gateway you want for a particular item. Instead of a blank gateway choice for all items.
I will enter this thread into the suggestions for Zuma.

Just wondering if there's been any news on this, still quite interested in using this kind of feature.
Thanks!

Hmm. I've never seen a site that would have multiple payment transactions at checkout. Sure seems like that would be a pain for the customer. I guess there are circumstances where it might be reasonable.
A cool feature might be to (optionally) require downloads to have to be "Approved" by the Admin before being processed. That way, even if a customer was paying by, say, check, once the check came in the Admin could go in to that order and click "Release Download" or something.
Just a thought...
