This is also of great interest to me. I haven't given it a lot of thought but would like to investigate the possibility of using affiliates for this purpose?

Other thoughts are to create a seperate table that reviews could be posted in?

Or collect the reviews via a form and display them on a user html page that could be linked to from the product display?

Does anyone have any other ideas?

We are nearing completion of an "amazo*" like customer reviews addon product for CCP 5.1 and 6.0.  I'll post an announcement when it is ready.  It features product-level reviews, and an overall summary of all reviews using a graphic (like a star, or something similar).

this sounds really good - somthing else i having been tying to do -

at the mo i have a link to a html user page that has a list of customer reviews and a link to the contact us page for people to add reviews - so when i get them i put them on the review page -

very basic i know - but its the best i could do.

but this new mod sound great - so will the reviews show in the product detail page and will there be a link on the same page to add a review?

keep up the good work!! looking forward to adding this to my site.

Hello All,

We are also working on a 'Customer Review' mod  similiar in functionality to Amazon's.   There will be a ranking system as well as the ability for the Administrator to approve the review before it is displayed.  There will be a 'Helpful/Not Helpful' designation.  Any additional requests to the functionality for the mod is gladly welcomed.

We are hoping to release it within the next few weeks.  It will be available on a per license basis with complete installation.

Any news on these customer review mods? I'd really like to get one integrated in to my site.

I just wanted to post a brief update letting all interested parties that the 'Customer Review' module is in its final testing stage and we should have a release date of next week.  More news once its actually available. Thanks for everyone's patience.

Nice job superhero2000!! ...Looks great and does everything we are looking for and more!    I'll be sure to get this addon as soon as I get my site up and running.

One thingthough, may be my error however; I couldn't login to the admin demo area as the userid and pass you supply was not being rcognised as valid. Just thought I'd let ya know.

ccpReview has recently been updated. We have added the ability to specify if a product/service is required to have been purchased before a review can be posted. If this feature is enabled, customers will be required to enter an order number before the review is submitted. The order number is checked against the store database to verify that the product/service has been previously purchased. This feature can be enabled/disabled in the Clickcart administration area.
