I have recently launched a new site and am starting to get some orders.
The problem is, these orders contain no postage.
I have tested the site and it seems fine, I use a custom postage script on based on the total cost of the order.
I re-checked the site and did a test purchase on the same item ordered and it charges me postage. Today I got another order for the same item and again it contains no postage, it should be £5.50 extra.
5 minutes later, the person that ordered the day before ordered the same item again, this time the postage was applied.
I did a test order again today and I have been charged postage. anyone else get these wierd orders with no postage?

Nope, never used the UK version.
Its the US version.
I still have the same problem though, i just got another order and that also has no postage!!
Where is Nick?
He's not been on here answering any support questions for weeks now!!

Ah, this has just rung a bell!
I had a similar problem because I'd edited the products.csv file but not remembered to include the custom shipping code name in the product_customship field for some items meaning it wasn't being added.
This is a required field if you edit it through the admin routines, so if you try editing the product there it should say that not all the required fields have been filled in.
If that doesn't work try checking that you've actually got the custom name right (yes, I know it's obvious, but it's amazing the things you can overlook!)

Hi Graham,
I'm not sure that's anything to do with it as I've done lots of test orders especially on this product over the last few days and they all work for me and add on the postage.
if anyone wants to look and see put in as many test orders (only up to adding the postage) then please go ahead.
The products its happening are untra gain herbal pills.

The problem was some of the products were being added by the remote API. The postage values were missing from the hidden codes.
