Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

Interesting...I'm still new to all this CCP51 stuff, and while searching for a problem I had, on this board, I ran across a post by scoutch.  He was dead on with helping my problem.  I thought he was one of the veterans, seeing how he has some 3000+ posts.  Why would anyone spend that much time on this board only to give bad advice?

I'm not sure what motivates him, but even a blind squirrel finds a nut now and then.

Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

When looking for other references to ClickCartPro on Google, I discovered that our Scoutch was apparently on other forums as well.  Very similar communication style as on the Kryptronic forums.

Eric

Nice catch - also try a google search for "corrected by scoutch industries" for an example of some of his handiwork.

Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

I must have picked the wrong week to stop smoking crack! I did a lookup on Google for "Scoutch Industries" and saw that he did an Epson printer review!

Epson has released a new printer called : Stylus C80.
It may not be the best printer in the world but it can print many photos in about six minutes 18 seconds. As for sheets, the actual creation can create them in eight minutes, 27 seconds.

Read more at : Scoutch Industries

"Many photos in about six minutes 18 seconds" - six was obviously easier to spell than "eighteen." How many is "many?" I may never trust another review~

I am not sure whether Scoutch is a good-intentioned yet misguided soul in need of both a spell-checker and a degree in grammar - or a simple sociopath. I would like to believe the former, yet fear the latter. To err on the side of caution, and knowing that Scoutch has been ardently warned more than once for erroneous posts, I believe Nick did the right thing.

I do know Nick thought about it for a long time - at least 3,000+ posts worth!

Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

I can't believe this has finally happened - AT LAST.  Sorry, but I have to say that the guy was an ar*e.

I stopped posting to anything in the forums a long time ago, partly because I finished the project I was on but even then I still wanted to read and post to try and help out others as I was helped myself.

However the main reason was that I was sick of this idiot coming in and I didn't want to get banned by telling him to **** ***.

Pity that I've only just found out.... :-(   could have celebrated much earlier!

As others have said - I thought it was just me - but apparently not.  Well done Nick - you do have patience to spare!

Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

Perhaps I am a lone voice,
If he was causing havoc... I agree - remove him.

However, he did help me.  I must admit, even a broken clock is correct twice a day.

This forum has helped me very much.  We have over 11 installations of CCP and each one has unique "issues". Without this fourm, I'd be on the soup line!

Thanks to all the LEGIT posters.

Re: User Nav/scoutch Banned (again)

I would say that he would most likely be envious of the clocks track record.
