Please help, I had my web guy triple check ALL the file permissions and everything is set correctly. I can't figure out why I don't get a login page after I put in the registration info. All it says is: "CONFIRMATION: Thank you. Your registration has been processed." Then it doesen't go anywhere, how do I log in?
Thank you.

I'm probably not understanding you correctly, but my understanding of CCP is that once a person registers, they are already automatically logged in.
Also, I've made a mod that you are welcome to, that allows you to place a "log in" or "log out" link on the site. It also shows if someone is logged in and their logged in name. These mods were posted elsewhere in the forums, although I've slightly enhanced them.

I have never been able to login, I have had this program for weeks now and no one can tell me how to login! I put in the registration information, that CONGRATULATIONS blah blah blah comes up and that is it, nothing else, it doesn't log me in and there is nowhere to login in!!!! I'm so frustrated not to mention I NEED to get this site up and going, or at least started! Please HELp!

How can you tell that you're not logged in? The reason I ask is that you should be automatically logged in when you register. You shouldn't have to do anything else to be logged in once you create a new customer account.
Also, to log in, just click on the link to the right that states "affiliate area" or "customer accounts", depending on the type of account you are attempting to log in as.
Hope this helps. CCP is a good product. My firm is implementing several e-com systems based on it and have found it to be very well designed. The docs are lacking, but it is a robust and complete product other than that.

Also, as I mentioned in another post today, one change that I respectfully recommend for CCP implementations is to have a "log in" / "log out" link in the upper right hand top corner of the screen. I also suggest putting in a mod to show the current logged in user name at the top of the screen. My firm normally implements these changes on CCP sites we deploy and find that they reduce customer confusion. My logic being that if _you_ are confused, won't your customers also be confused?
We've also implemented other optimizations, such as keyword popularity analysis, to ensure CCP has the maximum possible conversion rate. We found that on one CCP site the abandonment dropped from about 80% to less than 15% by just changing a single keyword from blue to red.

The reason that I think that I'm not loged in is that when I put in the registration information all that happens is that the page refreshes and now it has the congratulations at the top.
Where is the page with the "link to the right that states "affiliate area" or "customer accounts'"? The only two sites I know of are wwwclickcartpro.com and the admin site that my web guy gave to me, (the admin site is the registration page) Am I missing something?
I don't have a web site with any products on it, or anything like that. I just got the program and so I wouldn't have anywhere to put a login log out button.
Thank you

You should have two "sites" when you install CCP. 1) the admin site which you can get to using a link _like_ wwwmydomainname.com/cgi-bin/ccp51/ap-admin.pl and 2) the customer-facing end-user site which you can get to using a link like wwwmydomainname.com/cgi-bin/ccp51/ap-app.pl . Do you have both of these sites? Are you trying to INSTALL and REGISTER CCP as the webmaster?? Or are you trying to register as a CUSTOMER and log into the customer-facing shopping cart site? My above comments assume the latter.
The wwwclickcartpro.com site is THIS site (hosted by the vendor of CCP).

I don't have an end user site at this time. I haven't been able to get into CCP in order to build one. I need to build the site. I am not a customer. I have the admin site that my web guy gave me. My web guy is the host of my domain, he doesn't work for me in any other way. He sent me the admin link when he installed CCP on his server. I'm using a personal computer in my home office.

You should be able to modify your admin link (change cp-admin.pl to cp-app.pl) and then use it for your site link as well. CCP comes preconfigured with a sample store.
