HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!!!!
I was building static pages using CCP's API system in order to get my product pages compatible with SEO. Once I saw some of ATS's clients' search rankings I was impressed with the results.
Besides, I WANT to use CCP for its complete functionality as a store, not just a cart.
Thanks ATS, on a job well done! A small price for an investment that WILL repay itself in no time.

I have a report for you. On the site that you did for TonyS, I checked his Alexa ranking on the 20th, the day you installed the mod. His ranking was 1023788. I just checked it a few minutes ago and the rank had moved to 771540. That is an increase of over 300,000 places. Not sure if it is from the mod or not but it was an interesting increase.
As a note of interest in following up on this, I just checked the Alexa stats for this site and it is now at 280,025. Google also has it page ranked at 5 of 10.
Google now has 395 pages from this site in their database. I would say that this was a very well spent sum of money to get these kinds of results. I have spent much more than that on so called SEO companies that try to get you good placement!

Just wanted to say that Adam from ATS applied the module last week on Thusrday and Google had 168 pages indexed by today, Wednesday! This was definitely worth the money.

I'm very interested in this mod, but I'm also quite ignorant so forgive this question if it seams obvious. How is this mod better or different to the Apache mod rewrite found here?
I applied this mod to some pages as an experiment and they were indexed by google and their pagerank started to build as well.

Hello,
Good question regarding differences from other mod_rewrite methods that have been discussed previously.
My SEO module is different in the following ways:
1) It uses two simple rewrite rules to handle product and category URLs. No complex syntax or issues with mismatches based on variable count, etc. A new perl module (ste_seo.pl) handles all the complexities of generating and handling the new-style URLs.
2) It uses the product or category name for each page title.
2) It includes the product or category name in the URL itself, and causes each product and category to appear as a top-level directory on the site.
3) We modify all the appropriate HTML elements so the new-style URLs are used on all your CCP-generated pages.
4) Our module dynamically populates your meta description tags on each product and category page.
5) And lastly, our module comes with full-service installation, my personal attention to your site, my advice on improving your SEO rankings, and free support if you have any questions or problems down the road.
I've put a lot of time into refining my SEO module to give the best possible results. It works extremely well, and there's no extra work required from the site owner.
Let me know if you have any other questions. I'm happy to help.

Is it possible to change your rewrite rules so that the resulting html looks slightly different to the way you have set it up?
For example, I personally don't like to see too many hypens ('-') in a URL. That's just my personal preference.
(or is that a silly question? If so, why?)
Thank you.

Well we purchased about 3 weeks ago now and the spiders are more present than ever.
Also our Page Rank(not that that means too much anymore) on Google has gone fron PR2 to PR5!
I am sure that it has helped as Googlebot visits everyday now
Thanks

My site was already a PR6, so I already had the Googlebot comming around on a regular basis, but I wanted some of my products to show up in more searches.
I had the SEO module installed earlier this month. The links on my front page to parts of my store showed up in Google a few days later. I added more product links to my site's front page and those products showed up in Google the next day. Some are in the top 10. My front page was already #1 for certain good keywords, but this helps my products get more exposure.
Maybe it is the skin on my store, but the product pages did not show up in Google till I linked them on my site's front page.
moneymancn - Why do you say Page Rank does not mean too much anymore?

I should also add that the SEO module improved my products' rankings on Froogle. So if you care at all about where your products rank on Froogle getting the SEO module can help with that too.

Does this effect the new Froogle module that was released? I already purchased your module and want to know what issues might arrise with this new module?

Hiya
I am seriously considering this superb module, but I do have one Q:
Will I still need to submit my site to all the major search engines, either via `do it yourself` or a professional company, or will this module provide this for me.
Sorry to be so `thick` lol
Cheers

You will still need to do the manual labor. This module just makes the pages of the cart appear search engine friendly.

Here is yet another reason to get this module. I was just looking at my log reports and the product and category pages now show up in my reports. Previously those pages were considered dynamic CGI pages and most log readers have a hard time resolving those pages properly. The new URLs make it much easier to see how many page views my store pages received. Sure CCP has it's own log reports, but having stats for traffic inside and outside of my store all in one report is something I needed better reporting data on. This module has helped with that.

Hi
I have the SEO Module installed and I think its great.
Just one thing though!
Instead of getting:
Home Page->Category->Sub Category->Product List->Product Detail
I get:
Home Page->Category
Home Page->Sub Category
Home Page->Product List
Home Page->Product Detail
I've been told this is to do with the module, is there anyway for me to get the full breadcrumb navigation?
Thanks

Anyone noticed any changes to Web Site Traffic following the upgrade yet?

Hi All,
As far as increased traffic I'll leave that for the users to comment on. We've had a lot of great feedback from users.
Regarding the breadcrumb navigation, the SEO module does change the way that works. The product and category pages will have
Home > Widget Model #345
Instead of the normal:
Home > Widgets > Widget Model #345
This is a semi-intentional side effect of simplifying the URL structure and may improve search engine rank because search engines often rank deeply nested pages lower than top-level pages (this is certainly true of directories, but whether or not the search engines will pay attention to the breadcrumbs is speculative).

Just went live with the seo mod/product index this week so it's too early to report an increase in traffic, I report that last night googlebot crawled over 250 category and product pages out of 300 or so. That's a healthy crawl! Whether or not the pages rank well is more or less up to how well page titles & content are crafted - this mod does all it can be expected to do: gets dynamic ccp51 pages crawled as if they were static, top-level pages. A BIG thumbs up!

I have had the index and the SEO module installed - and wow - from a sceptic to a convert ! It took almost a week for the listing to be picked up by Google and now I am well up there and rising - nearly all my items in the top 5 and many top rankings.
Mark from ATS was extremely good at getting everything installed and working.
In my view - a very strong MUST HAVE for every ecommerce site.

Hi all,
The ATS SEO module for CCP is now compatible with Windows/IIS servers provided that the ISAPI-Rewrite plugin for IIS is installed on the server. This ISAPI-Rewrite plugin is apparently available for $69 (contact your web host to see if it is already installed or if they are willing to install it).
We are happy to have a solution for those IIS users who have wanted to take advantage of the SEO module. Feel free to email me if you have any questions.
Of course, if your web host is running the apache web server, this doesn't apply to you. The SEO module will continue to be compatible with apache without any special software.
Thanks!
