admin password screen...

After making some changes to settings.csv I tried to get back to
"admin" but now it's asking me for my name, domain, email
address and order# but it's not working. Any help appreciated...

Re: admin password screen...

You had to blow away a bunch of fields in the file when you were editing it.  What did you use, Excel?  That file is not good to edit offline as Excel tends to convert all the numerics to text strings, screwing things up.  Also, when you uploaded, is it still world writable (chmod 777)?

Re: admin password screen...

I changed it to 777 and same so I downloaded the new post fix ccp5 for a new settings.csv and uploaded it and changed to 777 and same. What else did I mess up? Also what program would you recommend instead of Excel (it is overkill for just editing)... thanks...

Re: admin password screen...

The updated version had a few changes to the Perl files to allow for easier install.  Did you upload those as well?

For editing, if they're simple edits, just use notepad.  It works well and since it's a plain ASCII editor, doesn't try to do fancy stuff with your data.

Re: admin password screen...

I downloaded the new CCP5 after the fix. Reinstalled and checked 777 for files you mentioned, same thing...

Re: admin password screen...

Send a copy of your settings.csv to ec@kryptronic.com and we'll take a look at it.  It's impossible for me to tell you what to fix as I can't see the problem.

Re: admin password screen...

Try clean install (can be in different directory)
using my simple installer:
http://www.dragontiger.com/cpp/cp-install.txt
with this installer you will have every file
in proper format and permissions without
checking it manually - why upload and check 882
files and dirs when you need only 2 files to get there? :-)

this way you can have it installed every 1 minute
if needed, so there should be no problem to restore
everything to 'clean' if you get in trouble editing
something
