I use specific mug size templates to sell sublimated mugs - images are uploaded and I print them on the mug. Both Amazon and eBay seem to use a 'fit to shape' (the shape is a template of the area on the mug) for customers to fit their image on the mug. I have sort of got around this on my kryptronic site but has anyone used similar methods utilised by amazon and ebay please? Thanks

Tks for that - I will look into it my method is more basic but it does seem to work - I let the customer uplad images and I fit them to the available area and mail them the design for approval

That post you saw was from an AI-based spam bot and made little sense. What exactly are you trying to do? Give the customer a custom mug preview with their image showing?

Sorry - just seen this - Yes its not just for mugs Nick as that is just a start - Its also for various other products like different shaped earrings, clocks, cuff links, bok markerstea shirts, etc I buy the blank products and sublimate customer designs and to avoid mistakes the customer can see his finished product with his/her image on it before I actually do the sublimation work. my site sort of goes half way as a customer can upload an image and I use paint shop pro. I also use paint shop pro to print the sublimation sheets as well.

Generally those fit to template type of previews work for square items and not much else. The clients we have that do realtime previews of customized items (I'm thinking of things like custom built lacrosse pockets with multiple, different layers and components) have had us program the previews so they work exactly the way they wish, and much better than fit to template stuff.
We've got a job that just opened up for another client doing similar work, and with similar items to you. I recommend you open a support ticket with us to see what it would take to do a job for you in conjunction with that one to ensure all requirements are met - making the custom module flexible enough to handle everything either client might need. Open a ticket and we can discuss. Thank you.
