Google Merchant Center Product Feed Data Size Definition

I have a question regard data that is exported to Google for publishing products on search results.  What information is Google looking for from the "size(s)" field in Google Shopping Feed?

Are they looking for the individual product dimensions or the shipping carton size?

This question comes up because we noticed an item that Google is estimating shipping cost in the results to be $25.52 even thought the highest shipping cost we can come up with is $17.99 to the furthest zone distance we can find including Residential using Real time UPS Rates which is the only method we allow for this particular product.  We are trying to figure out how Google calculates that shipping cost so we can work on more accuracy.

Thank you

Re: Google Merchant Center Product Feed Data Size Definition

The size fields are used for things like clothing sizes - Small, Medium, Large, etc.  The dimensions are not stored in the feed - just the weight.  According to this:

https://support.google.com/merchants/an … nd_returns

Google supports realtime carrier calculations and dimensions, etc. can be submitted.  I'm going to look into adding support for this into the next release.
