Error in "Home Page" Featured Listings: When I 1st go onto the site and add a product to the cart it shows up in the mini cart and then when I click "View Basket" it tells me there is nothing in there, if however I add a featured product to the cart and then select another featured product to the card, then it works.

Sounds like a setup/config issue. We need a URL to see what you mean. You may not have your .htaccess file set up properly. Use System / Helpers / .htaccess File Builder to see what you should have there. I believe you're self-hosted so we're unable to check. You can open a ticket with us and ask us to check/validate/fix your setup.
