Just got an email stating the I need to get my website ADA Complaint IMMEDIATELY or I could get Sued or Extorted for thousands of dollars very soon.

Re: ADA Complaint Website

Yes, they have been going around for a few years.  Basically lawyers are threatening legal action on sites that cannot be used easily by the blind, color blind, visually impaired, etc.  Upgrade to version 9.2 and you'll be good to go.  That version has all the latest and greatest tags in it to make it fully compliant.  https://www.accessibilitychecker.org/ is a pretty good tester of both ADA and WCAG compliance, and it's generally used to gauge a site's compliance level.  Please be aware that most sites are out of compliance, and these lawsuits are a fishing expedition looking for big fish to fry.  Smaller stores usually aren't worth the time.

Thanks for the info. My site was updated in August. I checked and see my website has a score of 75, which is good enough. I see kryptronic.com has a score of 48, that's not good and at risk. I also checked my bank's website and it's 75, and checked the state of Minnesota's website it's 61, you would think that a government website would 100. I was going to check the usa.gov website but had already hit my daily limit, I will check it tomorrow just to see.

Also checked the IP address the email came from it was Estonia and the website it had listed is in Sofiya Bulgaria.

Re: ADA Complaint Website

Very good.  You should be able to bump that 75 up with a few color contrast changes as they're picky about those.  We're about to launch a new website on 9.2, so we'll check out just fine when that happens.
