Online Survey Comments Block

The stock online survey form did not have a block for the customer comments and I cannot seem to add one with the controls provided. Help!

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

You'll just need to add a field to that form using the admin function 'Dynamic Forms'.

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

I am missing something here as I have tried adding a field and get an indication the field was added but is not. What am I not doing I should be?

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

Did you assign it to the correct form?

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

Dumb man now understands. Thanks. Add step to form which requires completion of previous step to access. Makes sense. There the addition was when I looked.

Final (I hope) question on this subject, how would I add or delete fields from the form itself. Specifically the Online Survey form. Much more there in the way of personal information than my customer wants to require.

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

If you're referring to the name/address/etc. that's hardcoded in.  One quick and easy option is to upgrade to CCP5 (which doesn't use steps and only displays form fields you enter via admin).

The trickier way to do it is to edit the perl code in ./cgi-bin/library/modules/site_form_submit.pl.

Re: Online Survey Comments Block

Looks fairly straight forward. I will "carefully" play with the script later today. Waiting on my customer to say what they really want before I change anything.
