Hi my server supplier of 10 years plus has decided to switch to Litespeed which they are saying is a drop in for apache?
I am sure this will cause problems with my 3 x CCP8 sites, can you let me know the situation here please? Thanks
-------------
As mentioned, LiteSpeed is a drop in replacement for apache. Virtually all features that work with Apache will work with LiteSpeed.
The most notable exceptions are:
- Proyxing via "ProxyPassReverse" is no longer supported
- If you application relies on $_SERVER['SERVER_SOFTWARE'] for server detection you'll need to check for LiteSpeed as well.
- If you use an older version of JShop you will need to note that Multiviews (https://httpd.apache.org/docs/2.4/conte … multiviews) is no longer built in and you'll need to contact support for advice.

We're not aware of any issues with CCP8 and Litespeed. I'd be more concerned about any corresponding PHP version update. You may have to recode/reconfigure your .htaccess file if you have SEO activated, and if the Litespeed syntax is different. You should be fine. None of the notes provided are of a concern for CCP8 or any Kryptronic software.
Beyond that, consider Kryptronic Managed Hosting. We'd love to get your sites over here. We offer a bunch of services that other companies cannot match. Many were detailed in a recent info center article:

If I get a major problem here, is this something you could look at with a ticket?
Im not really looking to move servers as I am in UK and this is pretty fast here, and I have a lot of other sites on it which I just don't have time to uproot.
Thanks

Yes, just open a ticket. FYI, when moving to KMH we do all the work for you to make sure the transfers happen right. The added services bundle and include with our packages (referenced in the link I posted on Oct 12) are really worth consideration.
