Manufacturers

Is it possible to setup and display categories under a manufacturer page?  So that you click on a manufacturer page, then click on more specific product offering categories for that manufacturer.

I did this with categories and subcategories in CCP8, but in V9 wanted to see if it made sense to use the manufacturer's option.

Example:
Manufacturer-  Nike
Categories (Displayed under Manufacturer Page)-  Nike Shorts, Nike Hats, Nike Shirts, Nike Shoes

Re: Manufacturers

Yes and no.  Not how you're asking.  Categories are for categorization, the manufacturer displays are for listing product offers which are assigned to a particular manufacturer.  With that said, here are some ideas:

- Assuming you have Nike Shorts, Nike Hats, Nike Shirts, Nike Shoes categories set up in your store already, and assuming that the product offers you have those categories assigned as their Category Parent, then you can flip on the Category Feature Grid display for your Nike manufacturer and you will see all Nike items on the Nike page nicely broken down by category.  This works very well if you have categories set up already and you don't have a massive amount of Nike items.

- Otherwise, use the existing Category structure and forgo the Manufacturer displays.  You have full control there to do exactly what you want.
