K9 Silent Update: ProdMicroData, Authorize.net CIM (9.0.2)

A silent update has been released for version 9.0.2.  This update has not increased any version numbers, and all new installations of version 9.0.2 will have these changes automatically applied.  There were two minor changes:

(1) Users with both product offer reviews and microdata activated were reporting issues with microdata.  The solution is to edit the file {private}/apps/ecom/ECOM/includes/prodmicrodata.php and replace the string '$this->CORE_DB' with '$DB' where found (one instance).

(2) Authorize.net has corrected the case of a response code issued for the Authorize.net CIM gateway.  To account for this change, edit the file {private}/apps/ecom/ECOM_OLP/ext/authnetcimcc.php and replace the string 'OK' with 'Ok' where found (one instance).

It's been quiet here on the forum as of late, which is really good.  That means everybody is running full steam without issues into the holiday season.  Good luck!

There is a module for the core named MicroData.  It replaced the ecommerce module named Google RichSnippets, and includes that functionality (printing microdata for product offers) as well as in other displays (categories, company info, etc).  It's a full MicroData package that the SEs are eating up.

Concerning the Articles extension module, it's really nice.  It was designed to allow you to create articles and categorize them.  The articles themselves have options for things like images, video, their own SEO controls and more.  Widgets include a recent article preview/feed, category listing and recent articles listing.  It has full RSS support and social sharing support.  Also real nice tie ins to cross-sell product offers.  The category structure was modeled after the ecommerce catalog categories, but only has one level currently.  We're extending functionality in this regard at some point soon so multiple levels of categories are supported.  This URL shows it in action:

https://webbsonline.com/Articles

Hit me up by submitting a custom shop quote request if you're interested in adding either or both to your license.  Also, check out the sticky in this forum which lists all modules available.  We're seeing users go initially with K9 plus one or two modules, then come back for more later on once they see how great the new platform is working for them.  So we can add anything to any license.

Re: K9 Silent Update: ProdMicroData, Authorize.net CIM (9.0.2)

Wheres the on/off switch for the mircodata xmod?

I have run the installer after confirmation the mircodata xmod had been added to my licence, but cannot find any modded files or database updates relating to the mircodata mod.

Update/installer has been run correctly as the Articles Xmod is available which was added to my licence at the same time.

The MicroData XMOD is part of the core, so you would need to update the core/system to get it when running your installer.  You'll find settings for it under System / Component / Settings / Extension Module: SEO MicroData if it is installed, and it will be in the installed module list under System / Component / Software.

Re: K9 Silent Update: ProdMicroData, Authorize.net CIM (9.0.2)

Hi

Do you have code to add "Reviews" microdata (not just aggregate reviews) to prodmicrodata.php e.g.

           <span itemprop="Review" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Review">
           <span itemprop="author">.....</span>
           <span itemprop="datePublished">.....</span>
           <span itemprop="name">.....</span>

           <span itemprop="reviewRating" itemscope itemtype="https://schema.org/Rating">
           <span itemprop="bestRating">.....</span>
           <span itemprop="ratingValue"> .....</span>
           <span itemprop="worstRating">.....</span>
           </span></span>

And repeated for each review available?

That is in update 9.1.0, which is due out now.  We hope to have it on the central server and ready for download within a couple of weeks.  Another client sponsored a job which added that functionality (https://855sheller.com/Item/Taylor-Pea-Sheller).

Re: K9 Silent Update: ProdMicroData, Authorize.net CIM (9.0.2)

OK thanks.

I looked at reviews.php and have worked out how to do it now but I am sure the proper version will be more elegant than my amateur efforts.

If you submit a help desk ticket, I can get you a copy of the reviews.php we're running in dev.
