ModSecurity + authorize.net SIM fails

FYI -  Apparently the new automatic block additions to the ModSecurity module on our server included secure.authorize.net as of yesterday.   This resulted in a blocked IP address for secure.authorize.net and a timeout for the relay for order completion in the shopping cart.

Our server admin updated the list to remove authorize.net's IP, so all is good.

Just wanted to post this in case anyone else has a problem.

This is the error message that appears on the screen for the customer:

"Your script timed out while we were trying to post transaction results to it.
  Transaction ID: xxxxxxxxx
Transaction Result: This transaction has been approved.

The following message was displayed to the customer:

------------------------------The reporting of this transaction to the Merchant has timed out. An e-mail has been sent to the merchant informing them of the error. The following is the result of the attempt to charge your credit card.

This transaction has been approved.

It is advisable for you to contact the merchant to verify that you will receive the product or service.

Re: ModSecurity + authorize.net SIM fails

Thanks for the post.  Incredible that they wouldn't check the IP before it made it into the block.
