footer changing width

The footer section in our site, using desktop theme, looks great on the site's homepage but when another page is clicked and parsed, the footer extends the width of the screen.  Looks horrible.

Why is that?  Thanks.

Re: footer changing width

Sounds like you've got an unclosed div in your skin or on your HTML splash page.  The footer shouldn't vary between different pages.  That indicates a problem.  Post a URL and we can take a look.

Re: footer changing width

So, a couple years later I'm getting back to this.  Here is what I'm talking about:

https://www.hempbasics.com - main page, footer narrow

https://www.hempbasics.com/shop/Category/Hemp-Webbing - footer full width

Re: footer changing width

I think you've got an unclosed div or paragraph tag on your home page.

Re: footer changing width

Hi,

Try closing your <div class="inline"> div it looks like it was never closed...

but carefully check your splash file for unclosed tags...

Cheers,
Bruce.
