Fedex rate calculator

Is there anything new for the Fedex Web Services integration?  In v8 you could only be fed your personal discounted cost rates.  It also ignored the insurance surcharge for items worth >$100.

In v8 I added your suggested code and used a custom shipping method, which was much closer to actual "retail" Fedex rates, but still not 100%.

Is anything improved in v9?

Re: Fedex rate calculator

FedEx is tied to your meter number in K9, so if your meter number is activated for commercial rates on the FedEx side, you'll get them.  The insurance option remains unused.  You still have the ability to do all of this via custom script, and your custom script from V8 would work without mods, likely.

**** removed previous analysis, as it was erroneous.

I think I've proven that the FedEx rates returned to the shopping cart DO include insurance.

I've also proven that I need more sleep.

Sorry if I misled anyone.

Re: Fedex rate calculator

Thanks for the post back.  Glad to hear for once it was your issue and not mine smile

Re: Fedex rate calculator

seems to be happening more often than not lately!

BTW - I LOVE what I see in V9.  I think you have a winner.
