Hidden H1 Tags

I use Website/ Content/ Webpages to add extra details about a product which is too long to put on the main product page, however SEMRush reports that I have two H1 tags on a page.

I've noticed that the code says:

Code:

<div id="skin_content">
<h1 class="hidden">Page Title</h1>
<h1>
Some more information about the item
</h1>

I don't think this is something I've changed and I understand that hiding tags is not good for SEO.

I prefer to use my own H1 tags which I include in the content of the piece (ie the "Some more information about the item" line), so how can I get rid of the hidden tag?

Re: Hidden H1 Tags

Set the page title to display on the webpage and it's H1 title tag will be displayed.

Re: Hidden H1 Tags

Ah, I see.

I thought that setting the Page Title Display to False would stop it from being included on the page, rather than simply hiding it so the user couldn't see it, but a googlebot could.

Re: Hidden H1 Tags

This could be made clearer because I've been adding my own custom H1 tags to pages and it's only just recently that I've found my pages have two H1 tags on them because of this.

As this could confuse search engines, I'm going to have to find a way to avoid this happening.
