And here's a series we did earlier this year on mobile friendliness, and why going with a new responsive design is so important (V9 is totally responsive):

I noticed on: http://www.mysqueakyfloors.com/Item/har … ap_Pro_Kit
The ADD TO CART is at the very top (I LIKE IT!) Is that a choice, top, bottom, or both?
Offline
It looks like Redman moved the description under the image/addtocart presentation on that one. Stock version has the description above the add to cart because for most sites the descriptions are short and it flows better that way. It's an easy mod to one include in V9 if you wanted to move that around on your site.

I'm pretty sure Ford said you could get it in black I've been in touch with you on the ticket system regarding progress. We have had some unexpected support issues come up over the past week which have impacted a few installs, but we're getting through it all.

Can you please announce the currently projected release date for v9?
Thanks,
Nathan

We'll update the first post in this thread if the release date changes. I've just removed 'or earlier' because we're really pushing hard on January 31, and may need to bump the date to early February just to get our own site upgraded.

Is Amazon Payments options going to be included in V9
Offline
We're introducing a few gateways, and Amazon payments is on the list as we have an open job for it. I can't say for certain if it will be ready in a couple of weeks with the base software, or will come out shortly thereafter with an update or as a module. It's coming, just not sure how fast right now.

I saw the information about Amazon and eBay will those be managed via MWS credentials? As well as offer the variety of columns that each category specific Inventory uploaded file utilizes?
Offline
Public release date bumped to 02/15. Base software is ready. We want to spend the next two weeks prepping extension modules that a few of you have been asking for, and I've got one or two always-wanted-to-do-this items that I want to address, but will make me and a few others happy, and I deserve that after having spent 2 years building it Kryptronic clients in the queue are getting base package installs starting tonight.
TheNerdKing: Amazon is managed via MWS. We use the base MWS Product schema, and do not get into ProductData variations when submitting new listings to Amazon. There is a back and forth synch between Amazon/eBay and the software, so if you have an item on which you'd prefer to use detailed ProductData information, you can list that on the channel (eBay/Amazon) itself, and the software will pull it down automatically (on a schedule) and will set it up in the software ready for you to assign inventory to it, and control pricing. You can adjust items you've listed with the software on the remote channels as well. V9 was built to allow you to quickly list items on alternate channels, and to give you a unified inventory platform for all selling channels. It was not built to tie your hands, and we assume some users will manage their remote channel listings (ebay/Amazon) using those services as much as from within our software.

Thats cool, I manage about 5 different Amazon, Ebay, Etsy, Jet, Overstock, Newegg, Sears, and their Facebook Twitter, Instagram etc etc accounts. Its an awesome thought to get rid of the 30+ excel databases I utilize. Currently using their Macros required updates, and adjustments to their VB Script initially to get most of the templates to work in certain categories.

Will the XMODs we've already purchased be able to move up to the new version?
Offline
How do we get in the que of v9?
Will the Quckbooks connector make it in?
Offline
TheNerdKing:
After we get V9 out and you begin working with the base store, ebay and amazon, please contact us regarding channel integrations for etsy, jet, overstock, newegg, etc. There may be some things we can do together there.
V9 is all-new all-different software and most of the XMODs we have available for V8 are not applicable for V9 (included, obsoleted, etc). There will be new XMODs available too. I'm working on a couple I've always wanted to do today. XMODs will be available at discounted prices when purchased with upgrades.
sdn:
You'd only want to get in our Custom Shop queue if you want to have us do the upgrade for you. In that case, submit a ticket and we'll queue you up. We have not set pricing yet, so we're not issuing quotes - just queuing potential jobs in order.
I have a ticket open with you, I believe, which references the QuickBooks Connector. That's an XMOD. We're pushing up on release, and don't know if that will be available at release or a bit afterwards, but it's getting done, and if you're the person in my queue with a QuickBooks Connector ticket, I'll be hitting you up a day or two before I code it. I'd love to get it done in the next two weeks prior to release, but the schedule will dictate what happens when.

It would appear that Google PageSpeed thinks the social media pins are too close for mobile. And sometimes it advises the mobile menu selections are a little close too.

I know PageSpeed is a point of pride for you and this is a minor point to most, but would bother you intensely.

lgt: You're right. I will not be able to sleep or get this out of my head. I do have to do a final PageSpeed check, and will address any remaining issues pre-launch. Expect your package tonight. I got hung up on an install for another client and am just coming out of it and hitting your job.

lgt: Your software was installed last night and I gave you a pretty thorough walkthrough. I hope you enjoy working with it. We're working on all the remaining extension modules, etc. as I had indicated and will be getting those installed for you as well as ready for public release.
everyone: V9 packages are being installed on client sites who are in the Custom Shop queue over the next week. You know who you are. We are finalizing newer extension modules for V9 as well. At the present time we anticipating making the release date posted in the first post in this thread.

First post in this thread contains the ESTIMATED release date. It's been pushing back this month due to a bunch of client V9 launches taking a bit longer than expected, and implementing some very good requests made by those clients who have been launched. It should be out within a month. We're working on XMODs at this point - the base software has been finished for a bit now.
