USPS shipping

I was just browsing the Postal Services site for information about shipping.  I noticed they have an API for designers to integrate shipping.

Will USPS shipping integration be available for 5.0 or should I start writing something myself?  smile

Don't start coding yet.  We're looking at their API shortly to decide if it's any good.

Okay... I'll wait to hear your response.

Will 5.0 allow for integration of mutliple shipping options?  For example, the combination of UPS and a custom shipping method?

We're going to try to make it as flexible as possible.  We're going to mix and match processing options - so we'll check into shipping when we code the front-end for the module.

I would also like to put in a vote for multiple shipping options.  I would like to use UPS shipping, but also need to offer other options for foreign orders and for people who have a P.O. box address.
