Migrating from Click Cart Pro 5.1 to latest version

If I were to migrate from CCP 5.1 to the latest version, what exactly would that entail? Would that impact any of my mods, styling, customization, skins or anything else? And how long would that process take?

Basically you will lose mods, customizations, your skin, etc.  5.1 was written in 2003 in Perl.  Version 8 is completely different.  The upgrade is basically a data import of your 5.1 products, categories, orders, customers, settings, html content, etc.  You'll need to skin it and handle any customizations (although likely much of what you did over the past decade to 5.1 should be in 8).
