MySQL, CCP 5.0, and my web host!

Does my web host have to support MySQL for me to use CCP 5.0?

Thanks.

Re: MySQL, CCP 5.0, and my web host!

No.  Your host will not even need DBI installed.  We're going to be using the new Perl module DBI::PurePerl and are writing the code to use MySQL if you've got it for some of the heavier used dbs and CSV files for mostly everything else (including the heavier used dbs if no MySQL is present).  Don't worry - CCP5 will install and run perfectly on any machine where CCP4 could be installed (practically any maching capable of running Perl).

Sorry for the smiley face above, the module is named:

DBI :: PurePerl
