Follow up emails?

Hi Kryptronic,

Follow up email module, is this far off to encourage reviews?

Adam.

Come on... you know we want it...

I'd rather have a full bottle in front of me, than a full frontal labotomy.

Re: Follow up emails?

The CCP7 version was great for asking for reviews but worthless for sending out email specials based on products bought.

Wouldn't it be great to have a real integrated email marketing add-on?  Even I would get one of those mods.

Re: Follow up emails?

It's actually being worked on over the next couple of months and should be available early 2014.

Re: Follow up emails?

We also would be interested in a good email follow up. Something useful and automated.

Re: Follow up emails?

It's under works right now.  We've got this and ebay/amazon integrations coming out very soon.  As always, when ready.  The ebay/amazon integrations pushed this functionality a bit on the schedule.

Re: Follow up emails?

Nick,

Encouraging reviews, Is this still low priority? and will it be available as a ver8 xmod?

Cheers,
Bruce.

Re: Follow up emails?

Any news on a V8 xmod for this?

I'm guessing it will never happen.. So if anyone can make an xmod for this I am in the market...

Cheers,
Bruce.

Re: Follow up emails?

We have a job for a client in the custom shop queue right now for this.  The client is sponsoring half the development cost of the module in an effort to get it done.  I anticipate the job being done within the next two weeks.  It's coming.

Re: Follow up emails?

Keep the faith.  The follow up module is being published for our client next week and will be available at the same time ebay/amazon modules are for custom shop installs, then automated installs.

Re: Follow up emails?

I wrote my own order processing admin code to manage such stuff, started back on CCPv6. Here's the logic I have for that part of my code:

This is the list of new POs that have been placed in the store where the order status is Pending and the External Comments is empty. These PO's require manual processing and/or a further look as to why they were abandoned. First determine is payment information has been received. If it has, process the information and process the payment.
* If successful, click the button to update the External Comments field, the PO remains as a Pending Shipment and Moves to Table 3 (below).
* If unsuccessful, click the button to update the External Comments field, and the PO remains as a Pending Payment, deleted after 30 days if customer does not followup with payment.

There are a total of 5 tables on my admin page to handle the processing of orders. I attach a screenshot of the first 2.

http://woodworkersworkshop.com/temp-hs872hu7h/admin-table1and2.jpg

When the buttons shown above are clicked on, an email is auto sent to the customer outlining the action just taken. For example when a payment was Not Rcvd, an email sent thanking them for being in our store and thinking about making a purchase, however a pyment was not received, so we're wondering if you ran into trouble making payment or maybe you though the shipping was too high, or some other concern that we might be able to help with.

One nice thing about Table 1 is I get to see in real time (upon page reload) if a customer is making repeat attempts to purchase. Usually a sign of trouble of making payment. I can take action right away to contact them. Most are surprised at how quickly I can respond, sometimes they are spooked smile

Re: Follow up emails?

CrownRoyal- Take a look at the BOM module for CCP.  It pretty much does what you want.

west4- We're just about done with the follow up coding and are handing back off to the sponsoring client ASAP for review.

Re: Follow up emails?

Hi Nick,

I know you are busy with ver9, but is there any chance of the follow up module for ver8?

Cheers,
Bruce.

Re: Follow up emails?

I've got to get back to the sponsoring client on this one.  He may want it in V8, or he may want to upgrade to V9.  I know it will be available for V9.  Availability on V8 depends on the sponsoring client's needs.
