WYSIWYG Editor: Load Editor doesn't appear to work.

I was on a form displaying the category description and clicked on the WYSIWYG Editor.   The tool bar came up.  I highlighted some text I wanted to turn into a link and then clicked on the hyperlink symbol on the tool bar.  My highlighting was cleared and an error message was displayed that I needed to highlight the text I wanted to turn into a link.   Is there a system variable that has to be turned on before the WYSIWYG Editor will work?   Or is there some other text highlighting method I need to use in order to get the hyperlink feature to work?

Also, I can use Expression Web 4 on to generate the HTML for me.  The problem is web4 uses style sheet code.  I would have to copy over everything from <html> thru </html> to get the code to work.  Will that pose a problem for the system when it displays the category description text?  It would be like having a full web page dumped into the description field on the form.

Re: WYSIWYG Editor: Load Editor doesn't appear to work.

You may have a browser-related issue with the editor.  I'm not sure.  It's a plugin that allows simple HTML editing that works for most people who don't require complex HTML and don't have the chops.

If you could get Expression Web 4 to generate an external CSS file which you could save to your skin's css directory and include at the top of your skin with a stylesheet call, then you could copy the relevant (likely between the <body> tags) code you need.  You could technically dump the full outputted doc in there, but it's going to ruin the standards compliance of your page and likely won't look right at all.

Below is an example of the html I am using.   It seems to work fine.  Do I need to include anything else?  Will this cause the standards compliance to be okay?

Yucca is food grade quality. There are many human consumption reasons for Yucca
Extract. Yucca can be taken to detoxify a smoker in about 20 days so they can
stop smoking with no withdrawal symptoms. Use as a shampoo to stop hair loss and
grow existing hair in your natural color.

Just to let you know, I was using IE 11 and the WYSIWYG Editor didn't work with that browser.   I tried Google's Chrome and the WYSIWYG Editor worked perfectly.   It figures!

I think IE11 still has serious issues, FYI.
