How many images can you have in the Banner ?
Is it only 3 images or are you allowed more?

you can have as many as you want. I am at around 50 and counting. Eventually a few thousand.
However, I have an automated program run daily in Cron to modify the banner image status in the database so only about 5 to 10 are randomly active on any given day. That way, there's always a fresh looking batch of pictures every day. I do the same thing with the products showing in the featured lists.... FYI. all automated. no work.

I'd limit the list to no more than 20 or so as any more than that would cause display loading issues when you brought up the page. However, in reality, there is no limit.

System > File Manager> Media Files: CMS/Banners or you can remove them via FTP.
