Hi Guys:
My pageview totals as described in the Dashboard are in the the several hundred to low thousands a day, however my Google searches are below 100 for the day. Something doesn't make sense.
I have my Google account in the Search Engine Optimization field in this format.
Location: System Dashboard > System > Component > Settings > Search Engine Optimization Settings
UA-xxxxxxxx-1
Is that the correct format for this account number?
Is there anything else to do to get these pageviews to translate into actual visitors?
Are pageviews actually individual pages that were viewed by someone? I already have 511 for today (7:40 AM MST) which I kind of doubt!
Can anyone shed light on this?
Thanks.

The software registers a pageview for every page viewed. If you have 511 for today and that's not normal, perhaps a bot crawled your site earlier today. It seems you're comparing google searches to pageviews, which is not an apples to apples comparison. You'd be better off looking at google registered pageviews as users will be hitting your site numerous ways other than through google searches.

But the google code is placed on every page so that each time the page is drawn the visitor is followed and the pageview is registered (I know you know that). But what gets me is I placed the Google account code in my SEO page
UA-xxxxxxxx-1 (is this the correct form for the account number?)
Google is not finding any of these pageviews while CCP8 is finding lots.
Example:
6/16/2013
CCP8 pageviews 1,356
Google Analytics 30
So it seems Google is not counting as many pageviews as CCP8. Is anyone else seeing anything like this?
