GoogleBase XMOD

Okay, I activated this and cannot download the resulting file.
Shouldn't it be this (asuming CCP8 is installed in the main hypertext directory)?
wwwmysite.com/googlebase.xml

If not, then where is it? How do I download it?

Re: GoogleBase XMOD

Has it been at least 24 hours since you activated it? The file is updated once a day via the daily cron job within CCP.

Re: GoogleBase XMOD

The file shows up at http://www.yourdomain.com/utilities/googlebase.xml in version 8, so point Google to that location.

Re: GoogleBase XMOD

Why isn't this a dynamic file constructed when the url is called?
Can't it be a dynamic one to save space for huge files?

Re: GoogleBase XMOD

The main reason we use a static file is to ensure Google picks it up.  This combats timeout issues on slower servers that might take too long to process the output of a dynamic request.
