Export

Using Cpanel:

Cannot download DB export files until I manually change from 777 to 755.

Also, it will not import at all.

The CSV file you uploaded could not be read. It does not appear to be a properly formatted CSV file that can be used by this import function. Review the CSV File Information section for information on how this file should be formatted and make sure all of the table columns were represented on the first line of the file.

Even if I ftp the file and try to import it without even going into Excel.

Re: Export

Are you sure you're importing a file with all the columns required in it?  Several columns were added to version 8.  As far as your permissions issue, talk to your host about that.  It should be working fine.

Re: Export

1. I have two different hosts (actually 6, but I have only installed CCP8 so far) both have fits with a CHMOD of 777 instead of a 755.  I believe the others will have the same fit, Nick.

2. As far as importing, as a test (on both) I exported using ftp and imported using the program and it still gave me the same message.

Re: Export

Lgt, I have always understood this to be normal with Cpanel? I could be wrong. Permissions should be 750 or 755 as far as I'm aware. 777 isn't recommended for Cpanel and has always caused problems for me, not just with Clickcart. This is by design as far as I know, you should find plenty about it on the cpanel forums.

Re: Export

I guess on peasheller.net I was running 7.13.  I went backwards on the installation instructions until the import export functions worked.

The only problem I had was to manually change the download directory to 755 from 777 each time.

Import/ export problem solved.

Re: Export

For your next install, at the top of index.php, admin.php and installer.php, set the default permissions for all files, dirs and exec files to 755 before running anything.  That should handle your issues on that server.
