I have volume pricing and it's working great, but I also have an option for a one-time charge for print setup. When I add the option it is naturally charging the setup fee X the quantity. How do I set this up so it is just a 1X charge for the setup fee, but still use quantityX for the other charges (additional colors, etc)?

Is there a way to set up a base cost + volume pricing? I just need to be able to add the cost of the print setup to the item w/o charging it on a volume basis. Surely this isn't the first time someone has needed this with all the screen printing, poster printing & other sites out there that use a setup fee.

Hi,
It may be possible to add some logic to the 'Custom surcharge' scripts, to check for specific products then add the surcharge..
Maybe..
Or if all your products include a setup cost then just use 'Custom Surcharge' and change the text..
Cheers,
Bruce.

Customers have the option to order a product with no printing, in which case there is no setup fee.
One product offers the option to add a second color, which results in a second setup fee. This is a fixed amount, not a per-piece fee. I cannot find a way to make this work while using volume pricing, yet I need the volume pricing due to the costs per item for other options. As I said, I cannot be the only one with this need, considering all the online printing places these days.

Hi,
We offer a product printed or unprinted and extra colours and we ended up creating three products...
Which gave us three product codes, so easier reporting in sage but not so pretty in the front shop.
Cheers,
Bruce.

That still doesn't solve the problem for me.
Product 1 has a one-time setup fee and a volume pricing scheme.
Product 2 has a one-time setup fee for each color (1 or 2 color) and a volume pricing scheme.
So my problem is how to keep the volume pricing and still charge a setup fee that doesn't charge that fee X 100 or whatever the quantity is.

Can you bundle this up and email it to me directly. I can then have the engineers either get me a procedure or an estimate?
