affiliate coding the category pages

Hi,

I have to revisit affiliate code (again). This is specific to linking to categories. This is a sample link that for some reason the CCP admin is not picking up the mktsrc referrer.

.../store/ccp0-catshow/widget.html?mktsrc=ABCXYZ

The referrer is ABCXYZ however CCP is showing the referring URL instead. I'm almost certain that code structure is correct.

Thanks.

Re: affiliate coding the category pages

I always understood it to be 'mktsrc' where 'ABCXYZ' is the affiliate's referral code. The mktsrc does work for individual store product pages.

Re: affiliate coding the category pages

Fair enough, $ref is probably only for use with the display namespace.

Re: affiliate coding the category pages

Just a thought. - The link looks to be SEO formatted. - Have you tried entering it into your code in non-SEO format?

That's not SEO formatted. If it was

.../store/Widgets.html?mktsrc=ABCXYZ

then I would agree with your statement. I already know the SEO format will not work.

Re: affiliate coding the category pages

I don't know what to suggest, then, unless the debug process can shed some light on what is happening.
