Does having an IP address in Texas affect UK SEO rankings on Google?

Does having an IP address in Texas (Kryptronic server location) affect UK SEO rankings on Google when using Europacart?

The reason I ask is that when one of my sites was hosted by Greenbarn I actually started to get first page ranking on Google but since migrating the site to Europacart I am nowhere to be found in the search results.

That is assuming that Howard at Greenbarn was using a UK Server address !

Are country specific IP addresses import for localised SEO rankings?

I think you meant to say  ...and the answer is . - Site speed and location are both important for visibility in Google product search. - Google is actively giving preference to UK sellers who are actually hosted in the UK and sites with faster load times.

gbservers.co.uk (formally poundhost.co.uk) are a pretty good and reliable host that we were using for a while, before switching to a Dutch KVM based solution.

It's probably worth reading what Google themselves say on this issue:-
