Could someone from Kryptronic please let us know which modules and components will be changed by this update since I'm sure I'm not the only person who has made changes which may be affected by the update and we need to know whether our changes will be over-written and need to be redone if we upgrade.

The upgrade instructions say to uncheck "overwrite files" so you should be safe but dont hold me to that.

Can someone from Kryptronic confirm Saltydogs comments above, i.e. any mods will NOT be overwritten by this update
Thanks

There is no way that kryptronic can tell if any mods that you might have would be overwritten, that is unless they did them, your best bet it to assume that any update will overwrite your mods, so make a backup of your current (private_directory) files. I generally backup my files, run the update, then make my backup files the main files source by changing the name of the base directory name on both the updated and backup files, and then go thru the new files and check which ones where updated.
That said, just by what is described as to some of the changes one would think that ECOM_Checkout is the main script that has been updated, but this is just a guess.

I have presented an idea to Nick that would allow for CCP updates that are mod safe. It may make it into a future release. This is an unofficial statement as I am a third party developer and not a Kryptronic representative.

It looks like the files changed are
CMS
ECOM
ECOM_Checkout
ECOM_GoogleCO
ECOM_OLP
ECOM_Ship
ECOM_ShipEstimator
what parts exactly I am not sure at the moment.

Right, thanks for that. I've changed ECOM_Checkout and ECOM_Ship, so if I ran the upgrade I'd have to re-apply all my changes which is possible, but would be a PITA.

Nick, thank you for that comment, but it would be useful if you could explain exactly which files are changed and how.
If you want this sort of detailed info then you should backup the private directory before the update, run the update, and then run a program like diff on the two directories to find dissimilar files and their details. As for the database, the update should not be removing any fields that you have added so your mods should be safe as far as the database is concerned.

This is a relatively non-intrusive upgrade, and you should be safe running it and making the single manual db change required in the instructions.
I was trying to say that even tho Nick thinks this is non-intrusive, I have personally made modes to most of the scripts, so this update will over write some of my changes, with a possible exception to ECOM_OLP which depends on wither the main script was changed or the scripts in it's ext directory.
