I have them all set to be active.
I have one mailing list named "New Product News" that I use to collect new subscribers and I have another one named "Do not subscribe ( test only)" that is my old mailing list formatted to work with this shoppingcart which I only make active at the time I want to send to the list. For a while it worked fine but now when I click on edit on this page

it calls this page http://www.sandiegoscreensavers.com/cgi … -admin.cgi and it shows all my lists but it shows me a very low number (7) of subscribers for my mailing list of 4,000. I did what was suggested in another post for raising the number of subscribers I also cut the list in half so I had two lists of 2,000 but no matter what I do I cannot access the list to send an email and it shows the wrong size on the pages where it does show up.
When I first added the old mail list "Do not subscribe ( test only)" I made some errors in formatting te data -- the list name still showed up but the data was not displayed. Now I can't get the list name to show up on http://www.sandiegoscreensavers.com/cgi … st_message
Why?
I downloaded the data file and it has all the 4,000 subscribers (or 2,000 for the half files) but I can't access it.
Can you tell me what happened please? I'd like to send to the old list as soon as possible.

I did see the answer to my earlier authorize net question and I will try that soon. Thank you.
more info -- I added two new mailing lists and when I make them active they also do not show up as lists I can send to.
Also -- when I make the other lists active they do show up as lists I (or a customer) can subscribe to and they work for subscriptions.
Also -- the number of subscribers was minus 7 (-7), not 7. When I added a name the number became -6. One of the ones that has 2,000 names says it has -2 subscribers.
Plus, the dir.txt file no longer has any of the mailing lists listed (but one of the mailing lists is acessible and functions properly in all functions).
It's just that I cannot access them to send an email to the list.
I fixed it. I don;t know what I did to get it messed up, but it's OK now. I edited the file data/maillist/maillist.db and put in the true number of lines and now everything works fine.
I'm learning.
