image sizes

Does anyone know if their is a way to set differeny image sizes for products. Like when some products pictures are bigger or smaller then others, so It does like format them ALL to 200x200 or something. Even to where it wouldnt set any image size, where it would just let the real images size come through.

Thanks.

Re: image sizes

You can edit the Perl scripts:

./cgi-bin/library/modules/site_store_product.pl
./cgi-bin/library/modules/site_store_small_display.pl

Or format your pictures so that they are a uniform size by increasing either the top/bottom or left/right margins in your image.  If you need to use larger images, enter their sizes in Program Settings | Edit Image Size Settings.

Re: image sizes

Aaron,

I had the same issue.  It's much easier to just manipulate the image.  For example: if using Photoshop, and the image is 75 X 160.. go to IMAGE/canvas size and change the image size to 200 X 200.  That will not change the 'look' of the image and only take up the background space needed.

Re: image sizes

Excellent advice.  That's how we handle it here as well.
