Hello: We have a client who would like to add some special categories to the custom menu. He runs a bookstore but has added a few services that are not books. Is it possible to add these categories to the custom menu?
In addition, When I look at the custom menu, I do not see an obvious way to add new items. I know I am missing something here. Could someone please help figure this out?

OK...I discovered through a more thorough forum search that one must add links to the custom menu by inserting new tables into the database. I'll report back if this works as soon as possible.

This seems like an extremely clumsy and non-friendly way to add something to the custom menu.
