When I use the Email A Friend for a product, the picture does not show up in the email. If I look at the source and cut and paste the URL for the picture into a browser, I can see the picture fine. Here is an example:
<img src="http://www.precisionframe.com/store7_pub/media/ecom/prodlg/autoparkgray200.jpg" width="200" alt="P32/Workhorse® autopark pressure switch on actuator - Gray" />
I'm pretty sure mails sent from CCP6 did display pictures in the email.
Any ideas?
TIA

It's most likely your mail client that is not showing the image. Over the years mail clients have gotten smarter and stopped showing images automatically unless told specifically to go ahead and show them. As you already discovered the link is valid so that only leaves the mail client as the reason it isn't being shown.

Hmmm. Disappointing. Sometimes low-tech is better
OK. Thanks for the quick response Dave.

FWIW it happened because spammers will use an image to "prove" that someone looked at a piece of mail which increases the value of the e-mail address to other spammers. Single pixels images are also used to "prove" that someone has looked at a piece of mail (which may not really be the case). HTML formatted mail was, at one point, a very dangerous thing too because it could include JavaScript. Personally, I never ever look at the HTML version of e-mail I get. If the information isn't available in the plain text portion I won't see it.

I had the same problem with images not showing in my email to a friend testing. I believe it is Outlook 2007 that is causing the problem because the images show just fine when sent to my Yahoo email.
Check this link: http://www.sitepoint.com/blogs/2007/01/ … n-outlook/
When I looked at the source code for the "email to a friend", there appear to be some CSS features not supported in Outlook 2007.
