HDSEO and Sitemap potential problem

I submitted my sitemap to google which automatically pulls the non HDSEO urls, i.e.

I have the HDSEO module activated which redirects from that to this:

When I submitted my sitemap to google, it gives me this error and says it will not follow my links because:

URLs not followed
When we tested a sample of URLs from your Sitemap, we found that some URLs redirect to other locations. We recommend that your Sitemap contain URLs that point to the final destination (the redirect target) instead of redirecting to another URL.

How can I get my sitemap to point to the HDSEO links instead of the originals so I don't get the redirect error?

Re: HDSEO and Sitemap potential problem

I have the same issue with the sitemap module.

It seems to generate a good html sitemap using the HDSEO urls from this address: http://www.yourdomain.com/index.php?app … odsitemap,

but the xml site map generated uses the non-HDSEO urls when looking at it from http://www.yourdomain.com/sitemap.xml.

Since it appears the code is the same for either one, hopefully there is an easy fix (?)

BTW, the SiteMap XMOD PDF manual incorrectly reverses the above two urls - the one for XML generates html and the one for html generates XML.

(further update:
I notice that the ecom urls for products and categories ARE using the correct HDSEO urls, but the cms urls for the html pages are not. Plus, the urls that have “menu display” set to false are incorrectly included in the xml sitemap, unlike being excluded in the html sitemap.)

Re: HDSEO and Sitemap potential problem

I would like a solution to this problem as well. Although I am not sure whether in my case it is a problem with cron jobs not running.

Posted earlier:

... my sitemap.xml file has not updated since mid february ... http://www.contextinteriors.co.uk/sitemap.xml

There has been plenty of traffic to the site and I have now deleted the value in core.cron_daily_last ... but still 3 days later, no sign of cron jobs running. In fact the value in the db is still empty.

I have updated all my products, pages and categories with HDSEO urls and this is working fine in the cart, but I need this to reflect in the sitemap.xml for it to work with google submission. The HTML sitemap is working fine: http://www.contextinteriors.co.uk/core- … REseo.html

And sitemap.xml has permissions set to 777

Suggestions?

Re: HDSEO and Sitemap potential problem

the XML site map will not generate HDSEO urls... dissapointing but true, see https://forum.kryptronic.com/viewtopic.php?id=26743
