I can't find mention of this feature in the support forums past November 2006 and neither pdf document for CCP6 turns up a search. No demos seem to be using this feature. Is it in the program now or abandoned?
I need a product review form for book reviews, either within or outside of CCP. I am currently running 5.1

It doesn't, yet, exist but a product review module is on the (long) list of things we want to add.

For product reviews all I did in CCP6 is create web pages for easy reviews that I have done on other sites... One thing about CCP6 not only an online store but potentially or maybe it even is.. a great Content Management System CMS. CCP6 creates great SEO friendly urls for your reviews or even reviews from your customers. It's great admin interface allows us all to create easy web pages for every review. Adding reviews to your site like this is excellent content and i know it will drive traffic to your sites..

What I need is like what Amazon has for books. It should be done by the visitor in fields related to the product on display. What I have seen is often done in ASP and clearly reads and writes a database.

Hello, I hope I can revitalize this thread rather than start new. We are working on a modification for a client that requires development of a comments module (like Amazon). What I would like to know is what ever happened to the tiki version system of module development and third party support. This is certainly one method of reducing development time for some of the features on the "Long" list of upgrades.

Has a decision been made to do away with 3rd party development? I know we would welcome the chance to purchase 3rd party mods rather than have to invest the hours for our own development.

So what's up with this? If you want to develop your own upgrades in the future, fine... but let us move things along as a community and maybe recover some of our development costs while we are at it.

I posted this before but I got no responses so I think this is a good place to re-post my question. I also need to put widget or something similar that will allow the visitors of my website to post their comments/questions/reviews, etc. Can anyone help me include this feature in my website or point me to where I can find more information?

Currently I have placed the Google widget for comments but it's a total piece of... you know what... and I need to replace it with something more reliable. Thank you for your suggestions in advance.

There is no XMOD available for product reviews. If/when one is produced it will be for version 7 of CCP.
