Yes - we have plans to expand it. I just wanted to get a basic version in there and see what users might want out of it. We've had requests for using images from a common folder.

I've already added a WYSIWYG editor in V6 so not being able to add images with the V7 editor would be a backward step for me and a reason not to upgrade. Is there a schedule for this to be taken care of?

Yes - there is a schedule for this to be taken care of. Probably with the first update to CCP7. We expect that to be out within the next two weeks. Still waiting to see if anyone reports any bugs.

Thanks for the reply Nick, unfortunately due to the numerous push-backs for the release of V7 I've been left with zero confidence on any further timescales promised.
Which editor has been included in V7 and would this be easy enough for me to add image insertion capabilities to it?

Mooeditable is the WYSIWYG editior.
You can modify it's behavior by editing:
{private}/core/CORE/includes/beformfield_textareawysiwgy.php
{public}/media/scripts/backend.js

Getting impatient is human nature, we all want things now in this connected society.
I too suffered a bit of impatience until I looked back on how other upgrades were handled and how pain free they were.
I would much rather wait for a proven and stable release than one that is buggy and breaks things.
I cannot afford to spend hours on end fixing and tweaking things. I NEED it to work out of the box. My small business depends on it.
So kudos to the whole crew for putting up with us impatient kids and putting out a quality and pain free product.
So everyone back to work, nothing else to see here!

You missed the point Frank - I waited patiently without saying anything except that I would wait.
The point is that with a recent history of broken timescale promises, relying on them now would be foolhardy.
How "probably" is "probably".
No need to reply - I already know the answer

I wasn't necessarily "pointing" at you, sorry if I gave that impression. Was not my intention!
It's always been that way, you just learn to accept that. But what does result is a product that works. Bottom line, that is what counts at the end.
For the non geeks like me, I really don't feel nor have time to mess around with code.
Needs to be just like my utilities, turn it on, it works!
With this economy the way it is (our retail sales are down 60% in comparison to the last few years) my time is more valuable than ever.
I know allot of you are web gurus and have several websites you manage. Just learn to deal with it and manage your projects accordingly. Or move on to another solution.
Some of the equipment I deal with in my industry verticals requires firmware updates,
I am well aware of the urgent need for updates and how badly things go when they are released into the wild all bugged up. I sympathize with your view and opinion! :-)
Ok, now seriously, lets get back to work LOL!! ;-)
