Questions regarding upgrading to CCP7
I know this may sound silly but after reading some posts I'm concerned about the possible outcome from upgrading to CCP7.
My questions are:
1. Will my website appearance change? I'm using a custom ZipSkin and I want it functioning the way it does now.
2. Will there be any lost/misplaced files?
3. Will I be able to keep the CCP6 version in case the CCP7 doesn't work properly, and if yes, would it be easy to switch from CCP7 back to CCP6?
4. How long does the upgrade take?
I'm planning to pay $49.99 to have the upgrade done professionally by the Kryptronic's team so hopefully there won't be any issues but who knows...

P.S. I'm new here and I'm not a website developer so please forgive my ignorance. I'm learning as I go.

We don't do the upgrade for $49.99. That's simply an install charge to get CCP7 running on your server. If you want a quote on us running the upgrade for you and cutting your site over, please call our sales desk. To address your questions:

4. Depends - to run the script about 5 minutes. To tweak your CCP7 install afterwards might take a couple of hours.

Hi, we have the ClickCartPro 6.0-UK - Batch Shipping Module (http://www.clickcartpro.co.uk/gbu0-catshow/Modules.html). Since CCP7 is now universal and there isn't a UK specific version, will upgrading to CCP7 include the upgrade to this mod too as it is not available on the kryptronic site?

The upgrade would not include that module. That module was written by GreenBarnWeb for ClickCartPro 6 as a hack. I don't even think it's in XMOD format. I've never seen it. We have a much better batch / advanced order management module schedule to be released only for ClickCartPro 7 that would offer the same functionality.

In the event you are looking for silly questions from the non-tech, I need to ask.
If I purchase the CCP 7 and a skin, do I need additional software to set up the site,,, i.e. dreamweaver or frontpage, etc? Or is the skin and CCP software completely webbased and I can set it up using apple Pages or Windows Wordperfect?

You can get CCP7 and a skin and wouldn't need dreamweaver or anything like that. It's 100% web based. As far as setting up your pages - all that's done in CCP too. You wouldn't need another program for that either.

Nick, unless I'm missing something here, some pages (e.g. "Home" (Splash)) are unable to be edited by the WYSIWYG editor because they contain php code. Is there a way of editing/auditioning such pages within CCP7, to avoid the use of Dreamweaver? That would help relative newbies like me...

CCP7 tells me that the WYSIWYG editor is disabled for the Home page because it contains php code. Clicking the Audition link simply takes me to an audition of that page (logical enough) but I still can't edit the page layout WYSIWYG-style within CCP7. Should I be able to?
Also, when I go to System>Update Skin>Update skin.php, then click Cancel (without making any changes to the file) I get:

Additionally, a 404 Not Found error was encountered while trying to use an ErrorDocument to handle the request.

No, you should not be able to edit the page layout using a WYSIWYG. It's got PHP code in it. The WYSIWYG is strictly for small bits of HTML like pages and product descriptions.
Concerning the method not implemented error when you hit the cancel button - your server is not set up to allow GET requests it seems (or at least POST/GET combo requests). I would check your server config on that one to make sure all types of CGI requests are allowed. I think the cancel button in admin is the only place you'll have an issue.
