Hi guys, just found an archive post of someone else having the same problem. This was one of the reasons for me changing from my old hosted cart (Mal's Ecommerce) and accounting software (Pegasus) to CCP and Sage. It's a small issue on a single order but becomes extremely annoying when processing multiple orders.
The problem appears to be that CCP calculates total VAT on the goods and shipping, Sage appears to calculate VAT on goods and shipping seperately and then adds them together, some rounding of decimal places occurs at some point but the result is that the total is usually 1p different in CCP to Sage (can be higher or lower). I can work around this by changing the VAT on carriage within Sage by the required 1p but given that the whole point of making an expensive change was to reduce keystrokes I'd prefer to resolve the issue. I'm also not sure if this is technically/legally correct.
Surely everyone who is VAT registered and is using CCP and Sage or Pegasus in the UK (and probably any other accounting software) must have the same problem??!!
Are there any settings that can be adjusted within CCP to compensate or has the rounding issue been addressed in CCP7? Any help on this would be greatly appreciated. I'm looking at implementing the connect module, will this match Sage to CCP?
Cheers
