how long did that take to do :?
did it require a lot of coding :?
thanks,

Thanks Nabz. It probably took me about 2 weeks to get all of the customization figured out and "hacked" into the various elements and subroutines. As much as I dearly cherish my CCP I really wasn't a fan of the base design (sorry Nick ) and I wanted something that carried little if any of the original CCP graphics and look. Basically I wanted a CCP site that didn't look like a CCP site.
The amount of programming was limited as most of the aesthetic changes just took some basic html detective work. Most of the edits where done in the elements but some where tucked away in subroutines that I had to root through, in particular, the adding of the round corners to the tables in the product descriptions. Some of the more drastic customizations involved hacking together subroutines, adding product variables, creating new elements, and getting Nick's help. Nick helped particularly with putting together the Email to Friend link.
For the splash page I figured out a way to use the to feed a custom CCP Element so that it will serve my store news right into CCP. You can find out how I did it . And I found a javascript... uh, script to run the slideshow.
Like everyone else... I have been through the ringer with regards to ecommerce storefronts like Miva Merchant, X-Cart, and BofA eStore (full store setup). None of these apps performed as well and more importantly never came close to offering the amount of customization that CCP gives. Not to mention that the price is RIDICULIOUSLY feeble in comparison .
You can find the minicart hack I used
I can't wait for CCP 6 so I can redesign my store again!

Nice site Todd... Did you do the graphics yourself? Specifically the title bars at the top of pages/ skin look? If so any advice and what software did you use. My graphics turn out cheap/ grainy looking often, and I have trouble getting a quality profesional look.

Man, this is a late reply. I never saw this question! So heres a reply more than a year late.
I usually use the older Macromedia Studio MX version of Dreamweaver and Fireworks for developing sites. I dont much care for the newer Studio 2004 version.
I do a design in graphics software first. So its basically just art and no code until I find something I like. Then I figure out how to put the design together in html and where I will splice my layout so that it fits best into HTML tables.
Once I figure out how to splice everything, I make sure my HTML is done in a way where I dont get any really weird tables cells. Then just piece the layout together with placeholders for your content.
Thats pretty much it.
The site has since been taken over by another developer and he has made some changes to my original design... also stretched out some of the tables on the home page... but the sub-pages still work good.

This used a standard skin and look but is a fair size site with over 1000 products on it.
This was the first time I used CCP and I have written my own Access database as an off line data entry system instead of using the web interface provided.
I'm impressed with CCP and the telephone support that Howard provides in the UK.

Ok, I couldn't ignore this post anymore and I have to showcase one of our best works with Clickcart.
The completion of the site is currently postponed since the client is unsure if they have the funds or time to move forward. However, the site should show you the possibilities that Clickcart has to offer, provided you have the knowledge to take advantage of them.

This is the first site I've designed myself using CCP and I'm anxious for the next version as I'm in the planning stages of a major sports site.
This site is for a Lacrosse store here in Orlando, FL. I didn't design it but took over development after the original designers were slow in updating the site for the owner.

i might as well join in on this one as well.

This client was getting the traffic, but unfortunately the traffic was not converting to sales. We did a complete website redesign and revamped the layout so that it motivates customers to purchase.
