For those who are interested in instant results with the search engines there won't be instant results. Thats just the way search engines work. Mark has offered a mod that will make your pages search engine friendly. Will that place you in the top 10? That depends on the content of your pages and some other things. Mark has provided a Mod that will enable search engines to spider your web site. Rankings depend on the content of the site and some other things depending on the search engine. If they can't spider your dynamic page you will never have any ranking.
No one can guarantee you good placement on any search engine. For what Mark
has developed and the service he is offering the price is cheap, if you have a
serious interest in succeeding in e-commerce. Thats MHO for what its worth. I've been
around since 2000. I'm no expert but I do know a little bit about succeding on the
Internert.

Hello,
The first results are in! They're from the TonyS's site. Top 3 on Google for every page in the handful I've checked so far! I've posted some details .

Very impressive. Do a search as follows on Google - allinurl: wwwdomain-name-in the-link.uk, then search to include omitted results and you'll see the extent to which google has indexed the site. Awsome!

So now you have my attention...
After this mod is installed, are there any changes to the way I add new product to the site or any changes in the way I need to administer the site (other than filling more orders)? Any loss of functionality in CCP?

CCP functions as normal with this mod. There is no effect on any of the cart administrative functions whatsoever. All it is doing is rewriting the URL and adding meta tags. Awesome!

You know, all along I assumed that because my web-host uses Unix boxes that they also used Apache, but I just found out that they use Zeus. Any hope for me?

Hi Greg,
Yes, there's hope for you. Zeus supports a different way to do what mod_rewrite rules do for apache. I'm willing to give it a shot. Contact me and we can do some testing on your server.

Hello Everyone,
I just had Mark from ATS install this mod on my site and I have to say he was fast and I really like the way it works. I did a lot of searching to see what pages were searh engine indexed from my site and all I could find is the index.htm static page. I think this mod will go a long way in helping my business, but the proof is to be seen.
I will be updating the information in regard to my site's results, good or bad.
The proof is in the pudding and time will tell.

We just had this module installed as well. Well worth the price. Obviously, it's too soon to see where we are in the search results, but that's really up to us anyway and dependent on our content.
The module does exactly what we needed--it makes our store search engine friendly. Plus, it makes the links very consumer friendly.
ATS customer service in setting it up was excellent. Mark was awesome.
I would highly recommend this module.

Hello everyone,
Well, the first results are in!!! On 03/03/2004 I had this mod done to my site and at that time if I checked Google as to what was indexed the only thing there was the static page I had set up as an index.htm.
Today, 03/09/2004 I checked Google again and WOW!!!
EVERY ITEM I HAVE IS NOW INDEXED.
Check it for yourself. Go to Google and put in site:www.thetemplebooks.com
THERE ARE TWO PAGES OF INDEXED ITEMS FROM MY SITE.
Stuff that was never showing up in searches is now. I love it!!!!!
Thank You Mark. The $150 was well worth it and your service was outstanding.

Hello Again Everyone,
Just to give you all an update after having this mod installed, I have more than tripled the number of page views I'm getting and my average sale price has increased by better than 44%. This mod has already paid for itself many times over.
I can only say that after choosing CCP as my cart the SEO mod is the best thing I have done for my online business. I am one very happy customer. :-)

what would need be done if changing domain names after this install?
is this a call home script that depend on your server to run? thanks you.
Offline
If I'm not mistaking, this MOD also relies to the root CGI files so it shouldn't matter if you switch server. Althought, if I'm wrong, I'd like to hear it please since I find this question very interesting.

Hi MoneySaver,
I'm not certain what you mean by "call home script", but it doesn't depend on any of my servers to run if that's what you mean.
Regarding changing domain names and/or changing web servers, some reconfiguration might be required, but the basic functionality works the same on each server.

After working with this SEO module for a while I would think that if there were any problems in moving the site to another host, it would be a minimum configuration change. I don't know crap about perl and all this stuff, but I did it just as a test because it is one thing I was worried about.
Offline
my worries is to be forever depended on one person to do have a working script. i am not say that any problems is with it or the like, but tomorrow the seller of this could retire or pass away and have us left with unable to move product. i need to now what has to be change in that event.
Offline
mr joe, what did you had to change to make it work after you moved site?
Offline
I think that only the root CGI files has to be modified. The rest follows.

Hello all,
There is nothing more complex or involved about moving the SEO module to another domain or host than there is about moving CCP to another domain or host. It involves moving files and changing some paths. It doesn't depend on me any more than moving CCP depends on Nick. I'll be happy to assist anyone who purchases the module and needs to move it at a later date.

Gentlemen,
There is nothing inside of the CCP script with the SEO mod that is unique or requires modification beyond any move to a different server. The only addition outside is a httaccess file which may require being modified. That's it, nothing more.
I'm an idiot at this stuff and I figured it out, I'm sure just about anyone can do it. There is only a handfull of files that are changed with this mod and only 2 require that you make changes to them when you change servers, CP-app and CP-admin just like any move. The httaccess may need changed, may not. Will I need help in the future? Perhaps, but then again I know nothing about how this works and I don't want to. I have a business to run, not a web site.
This mod has done wonders for my business and the price is small for the results. Mark answered all my questions and I am very comfortable in that I can move to another domain if I have to.
