editing scripts

I appear to have CCP5 installed. Now I have to edit the scripts. I tried to edit them with CUTE FTP. Though it will edit them, it won't save them.

I also have SecureCRT, an SSH/Telnet client, but it is not clear how to edit from it.

So how do I go about editing the scripts?

Thanks

Larry

Re: editing scripts

Check with your host on not being able to edit using FTP.  You should be able to, and if you can't there's a permission problem with the FTP daemon.  They'll know how to fix this immediately.

To edit using SSH/Telnet, you'll have to use a shell text editor like vi or emacs, but unless you've got a couple hours to spare to figure out how to use them, talk to your host.

As another alternative, download the files, edit them on your local machine, then upload them.  Hopefully that's a good work around.
