Charge when shipped

LAST EDITED ON 12-23-02 AT 06:26 PM (EST)
Is there any way for CCP4 to do the following:

1. User enters the order.
2. Payment gateway checks if CC is valid, but does not charge anything
3. CCP4 says it'll be shipped in X days. (configurable)
4. When we complete the order, we actually bill the customer.

I don't know what is on the CCP side and what is on the payment gateway side, but could you give me some ideas?

CCP5 is not an option. I already bought the software, but it doesn't work on my server (bad Perl version - i assume this problem was never fixed.)

Another thing:

Is it possible for order tracking to get it to say Ordered but not yet shipped?

Re: Charge when shipped

Do a search for cc checks. There's a url that you link to that checks cards for validity.

Re: Charge when shipped

My current payment gateway (CardService LinkPoint) does support both authorizing (and not charging) as well as charging right away, but I was wondering if there's a way for CCP to store the info so that we can just go to the site admin page and click on a button and it will change the status from Ordered - Processing to Ordered - Shipped as well as charge the customer's CC.
