I posted about freessl.com. It wasn't spam and it seems someone removed it. I don't work there nor make anything from them. I am just trying to pass the word around that you can get them for free.

Guys (anybody know?) I signed up with one of those free one-time fee webhosts and it's good except for the SSL part. I bought my own SSL certificate but they won't hook it up for me (not even for a fee)! Anybody know where I can go and use/test https:\... until I get another host or somewhere where I can just get this service?

You might try Coastland Technologies at wwwcoastlandtech.com --I'm not sure if they'll install the certificate for you or not, but they might. I think they include use of their SSL certificate in their hosting plans.

They only give you one email? I'll ask him a couple of more questions, thanks!

If you want an affordable hosting company try readyhosting.com, for $100 a year you get lots of benifits, including ssl. If there is a downside, it is tech support tends to be a bit slow but they always respond.
The other downside is they use Cart32, which isn't a bad cart program as I am still using it while awaiting CCCP 5.0 to hit the market.

I think it should be (I'm used to) Linux as webservers (cheap/ free software & user support) and Windows (for computers) They only do Windows as servers. This also keeps MONOPOLY IN CHECK!, thanks...

I know that wwwvalueweb.net (that is who I use) offers SSL abilities and I think for a niminal fee they will do all the set up for you too.

I know versynergy.com will. I used them..no problems with an outside certificate.
Thanks for all suggests I'll check them all...
I can't suggest my current freehostingweb.com cause techsupport=0! They don't answer any tech support question even If I suggest to pay for the certificate setup!!!

I can not say enough good things about my hosting company. wwwamhosting.com is based out of Reno, provide a TON of features with ALL packages and I'm not kidding when I say:
If you send an email for support... they will get back to you with an answer within about 10 mins (via email) and it's 7 days a week. They don't promote this response time but I have never waited more than 10 mins for an answer.
Zero downtime since I've been with them.. and they do stuff for me all the time without asking for money. And I don't think I pay more than $25 a quarter.
