switch & categories
How can I add the facility for accepting switch cards here in the UK as we need an extra box for the isssue number?
How can I move the categories pop up menu from the bottom of the store pages to the top?
Look forward to ideas/help

For moving the categories box, edit the file:
./cgi-bin/library/modules/site_store_categories.pl
You'll see where the HTML drop box routine is called and should be able to figure out how to move it without problems.
For the UK debit cards - CCP5 will support the additional field.
